Why is it Important ?
The Employee CPR and First Aid Training Program is designed to equip employees with the essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively to medical emergencies in the workplace. Teaching employees essential life-saving skills such as First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Basic Life Support, Workplace Safety and Emergency Response, and Mental Health First Aid is crucial for creating a safer, more prepared workplace. This training also equips employees with the knowledge to handle common medical emergencies, such as cuts, burns, and injuries, allowing them to provide immediate care until professional help arrives.

Employees will learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. The training includes how to recognize signs of cardiac arrest, the proper techniques for chest compressions and rescue breaths, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). This training is critical for helping employees respond effectively to heart-related emergencies, keeping victims stable until professional medical help arrives.
Employees will learn how to quickly and calmly respond in emergency situations. The training covers how to assess the scene for safety, how to call for emergency medical help, and how to assist injured individuals while waiting for medical professionals to arrive.
To ensure employees are fully prepared to handle emergencies, the training includes hands-on practice through real-life scenarios. Participants will engage in simulated emergency situations to apply their CPR and first aid skills in a controlled, supportive setting, allowing them to build confidence and competence.
The program covers essential first aid skills, including how to treat cuts, burns, sprains, fractures, and other common injuries. Employees will be taught how to assess and manage medical emergencies, such as allergic reactions, choking, and seizures, ensuring that they can provide immediate care and reduce the risk of further harm.
The program also includes an overview of basic safety and health practices to prevent workplace injuries. Employees will be taught about risk factors, how to recognize potential hazards, and the importance of maintaining a safe working environment to reduce the likelihood of accidents.
Upon successful completion of the training, employees will receive certification in CPR and First Aid, typically valid for two years. Ongoing recertification opportunities will ensure that employees’ skills remain up-to-date and that they are always prepared to respond to emergencies effectively.
